Kepler-1826 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1826 is a star located 1100 light-years away. It has one known planet, Kepler-1826 b. The host star's reported mass estimate is 0.505 solar masses, smaller than the Sun's. Its radius estimate is 0.498 solar radii, also smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is 3820 K, cooler than the Sun's.

Kepler-1826 b was discovered by the transit method in 2021, when the planet passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. The planet completes an orbit in 1.62 days. Its radius is 1.48 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's and places it among the Earth-like planets.
