Kepler-1773 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1773 is a star located 2220 light-years away, and a single planet has been found orbiting it. The host star is estimated to be 2.75 billion years old, with a mass of 1.23 solar masses and a radius of 1.36 solar radii. Its temperature is 6190 K, and its reported mass, radius, and temperature are all larger or hotter than the Sun's.

The one known planet is Kepler-1773 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by the transit method in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1773 b completes an orbit every 40.8 days and has a radius of 3.5 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. In size classification, Neptune-like planets reach up to 4 times Earth's radius.
