Kepler-1725 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1725 is a star 1820 light-years away with an age of 1.66 billion years. Its mass is 1.11 solar masses, its radius is 1.1 solar radii, and its temperature is 6090 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-1725 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1725 b has an orbital period of 16.7 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit. Its radius is 2.81 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. In size classification, a Neptune-like planet reaches 4 times Earth's radius.
