Kepler-1491 is a star located 6740 light-years from Earth. It has a mass of 1 solar masses, a radius of 0.99 solar radii, a temperature of 5730 K, and an age of 4.57 billion years. Two planets orbit this host: Kepler-1491 b and Kepler-1491 c. Both were found by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint.
Kepler-1491 b is a Super-Earth discovered in 2016. It has a radius of 1.51 Earth radii and an orbital period of 16.6 days, the shortest year among the listed planets.
Kepler-1491 c is a Super-Earth discovered in 2023, with a radius of 2.44 Earth radii and an orbital period of 61.6 days. Its year is the longest among the listed planets, and its radius is the largest among them. Both planets have reported radius estimates larger than Earth's.
