Kepler-1481 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1481 is a single known planet host 1500 light-years away. Its planet, Kepler-1481 b, was discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The orbital period of Kepler-1481 b is 5.94 days. Its radius is 1.23 Earth radii, making it Earth-like, a size class that stays within 1.5 times Earth's radius. This radius estimate is larger than Earth's.

The host star is 3.89 billion years old. Its mass is 0.8 solar masses, smaller than the Sun's. Its radius is 0.75 solar radii, also smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature of 4910 K is cooler than the Sun's.
