Kepler-1460 b: A Super-Earth in a Distant System

Kepler-1460 is a star located 1800 light-years away, and it hosts one planet. The star is estimated to be 3.98 billion years old, with a mass of 0.7 solar masses and a radius of 0.67 solar radii. Its temperature is 4420 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1460 b is a Super-Earth discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. It orbits once every 30 days and has a radius of 1.96 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. In size classification, a Super-Earth reaches up to 2.5 times Earth's radius.
