Kepler-1407 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1407 is a star 4550 light-years away with a single known planet, Kepler-1407 b. The host star is 3.24 billion years old, has a mass of 1.1 solar masses, a radius of 1.15 solar radii, and a temperature of 6010 K, making its reported mass, radius, and temperature estimates all larger or hotter than the Sun's.

Kepler-1407 b was discovered by transit in 2016, when the planet passed in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. It is a Super-Earth, a size class reaching up to 2.5 times Earth's radius, and its reported radius estimate of 2.25 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. The planet completes an orbit every 20.1 days.
