Kepler-1383 and Its Earth-Like Planet

Kepler-1383 is a single known star in a system 3350 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 2.24 billion years old and has a mass of 1.26 solar masses, a radius of 1.44 solar radii, and a temperature of 6370 K. Its mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1383 b was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Earth-like, with a radius of 1.41 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its orbital period is 13.9 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit.
