Kepler-1354 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1354 is a star 3650 light-years away with one known planet. The star is 2.95 billion years old, has a mass of 1.16 solar masses, a radius of 1.24 solar radii, and a temperature of 6170 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1354 b was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1354 b completes an orbit every 76.6 days. Its radius is 2.97 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. As a Neptune-like planet, it falls within the size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius.
