Kepler-1352 and Its Sub-Earth Planet

Kepler-1352 is a single-star system 2190 light-years from Earth. The host star is 3.16 billion years old, has a mass of 1.11 solar masses, a radius of 1.16 solar radii, and a temperature of 6120 K, making it larger, more massive, and hotter than the Sun. One planet orbits this star.

That planet, Kepler-1352 b, was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, producing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1352 b completes an orbit every 1.88 days. It is a Sub-Earth, a size class for planets with a radius smaller than Earth's, and its radius is 0.89 Earth radii.
