Kepler-1316 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1316 is a star 2610 light-years from Earth with 1.04 solar masses and 1.12 solar radii, meaning its radius estimate is larger than the Sun's. It is 5.13 billion years old, and its temperature of 5880 K is hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet, Kepler-1316 b, was discovered by transit in 2016, when it was observed passing in front of its star and causing a small dip in brightness. It completes an orbit every 88 days. With a radius of 3.54 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, it falls into the Neptune-like size class, which extends to 4 times Earth's radius.
