Kepler-1184 and Its Solitary Planet

Kepler-1184 is a star 3780 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is 3.55 billion years old, holds 1.05 solar masses, spans 1.07 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5980 K, which is hotter than the Sun's.

The single planet, Kepler-1184 b, was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the observed brightness slightly; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1184 b completes an orbit every 53.6 days. Its radius is 2.68 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and places it among the Neptune-like class, which reaches up to 4 times Earth's radius.
