Kepler-1134 and Its Solitary Known Planet

Kepler-1134 is a star 3080 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is estimated to be 4.9 billion years old, with a mass of 0.84 solar masses, a radius of 0.81 solar radii, and a temperature of 5280 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1134 b was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1134 b is Neptune-like, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius, and its radius is 2.64 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. It orbits once every 17.1 days.
