Kepler-1076 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-1076 is a star with one known planet. The host star is 0.79 solar masses, with a radius of 0.74 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 4870 K, and its age is 3.72 billion years. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The single known planet is Kepler-1076 b, discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1076 b has an orbital period of 6.15 days, so it completes one orbit in that time. Its radius is 0.8 Earth radii, and its reported radius estimate is smaller than Earth's, placing it in the Sub-Earth size class.
