Kepler-1015 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1015 is a star 2410 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is estimated to be 1.58 billion years old, with a mass of 1.49 solar masses and a radius of 1.81 solar radii. Its temperature is 6770 K. The star's reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's. The star's reported temperature is also hotter than the Sun's.

The planet, Kepler-1015 b, is a Neptune-like world discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1015 b orbits its star every 16 days and has a radius of 3.55 Earth radii. This reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
