Kepler-1350 and Its Two Planets

Kepler-1350 is a star located 1110 light-years away, and two planets orbit it. The star is estimated to be 4.57 billion years old, with a mass of 0.55 solar masses and a radius of 0.53 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 3830 K, cooler than the Sun's, and both its mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's.

Both planets were discovered by the transit method and announced in 2016. The transit method reveals a planet passing in front of its star and dimming its light slightly. Kepler-1350 b is a Neptune-like planet with a radius of 2.52 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 4.5 days. Kepler-1350 c is a Super-Earth with a radius of 1.73 Earth radii, also larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 1.77 days. Among the listed planets, Kepler-1350 b has the longest orbital period and the largest radius, while Kepler-1350 c has the shortest orbital period and the smallest radius.
