Kepler-1280 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1280 is a single-star system 4850 light-years away, and one planet has been found orbiting it. The host star is 2.82 billion years old, with a mass of 1.2 solar masses and a radius of 1.32 solar radii. Its temperature is 6230 K, which is hotter than the Sun, and the star's reported mass and radius estimates are also larger than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1280 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. It completes an orbit every 66.6 days. With a radius of 1.87 Earth radii, Kepler-1280 b is larger than Earth; as a Super-Earth, its size class places it below 2.5 times Earth's radius.
