Kepler-1234 and Its Neptune-like Planet

Kepler-1234 is a star located 2990 light-years away. It is 4.37 billion years old, has a mass of 0.8 solar masses and a radius of 0.76 solar radii, and a temperature of 4970 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's. The system contains one known planet.

That planet, Kepler-1234 b, is Neptune-like, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 2.81 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. It was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet crosses in front of its star and causes a small dip in brightness. Kepler-1234 b orbits once every 11.9 days.
