K2-370 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

K2-370 is a G-type main-sequence star located 470 light-years away. The star is estimated to be 1.4 billion years old, with a mass of 0.962 solar masses, a radius of 0.945 solar radii, and a temperature of 5660 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system hosts one known planet, K2-370 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by the transit method in 2022. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. K2-370 b has a mass of 11.1 Earth masses and a radius of 2.67 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 3.21 g/cm³, 0.583 times Earth's. The planet completes an orbit every 2.14 days.
