K2-330 b: A Neptune-Like Planet Around a Single Star

K2-330 is a star 522 light-years away with one known planet. The host star has 1.22 solar masses, 1.47 solar radii, and a temperature of 6270 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all greater than the Sun's.

The single planet, K2-330 b, is Neptune-like, a size class that reaches four times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods.

K2-330 b completes an orbit every 13.8 days. Its radius is 2.77 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
