K2-264 and Its Two Known Planets

K2-264 is an M-type dwarf star located 605 light-years away. Its spectral type, M2.5 V, identifies a small, cool red dwarf. The star's reported mass estimate is 0.471 solar masses and its reported radius estimate is 0.473 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its reported temperature is 3580 K, cooler than the Sun's.

Two planets are known to orbit this host. K2-264 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2018, with a reported radius estimate of 2.23 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 5.84 days. K2-264 c is a Neptune-like planet, also discovered by transit in 2018, with a reported radius estimate of 2.67 Earth radii, likewise larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 19.7 days.

Among the listed planets, K2-264 b has the shortest year by reported estimates, at 5.84 days, while K2-264 c has the longest, at 19.7 days. K2-264 b also has the smallest radius by reported estimates, and K2-264 c the largest.
