HR 810 is a G0V star 56.5 light-years away. Its spectral type marks it as a Sun-like, main-sequence dwarf. The star is 2.72 billion years old, with a mass of 1.15 solar masses and a radius of 1.18 solar radii, and its temperature is 6100 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and it is hotter than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit it.
That planet, HR 810 b, was discovered in 1999 by the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion; repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period. HR 810 b orbits once every 303 days. Its minimum mass is 721 Earth masses, a lower bound larger than Earth's and roughly 2.27 times Jupiter's mass.
