HD 8535 is a G-type main-sequence dwarf 181 light-years away, with one known planet. The star has a reported mass of 1.13 solar masses and a radius of 1.19 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's, and a temperature of 6140 K, hotter than the Sun's.
The planet, HD 8535 b, was discovered in 2010 by the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion; repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period. Its minimum mass is 216 Earth masses, a lower bound on its true mass and larger than Earth's, and it completes an orbit every 1310 days.
