HD 35759 is a star 232 light-years from Earth with a spectral type of G0, and one planet has been found in its orbit. The star's reported mass estimate is 1.15 solar masses, larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is 6060 K, hotter than the Sun's.
The single planet, HD 35759 b, was discovered in 2016 by the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion; repeated wobbles reveal the planet and its orbital period. HD 35759 b has a minimum mass of 1200 Earth masses, a lower bound on its true mass that is larger than Earth's and roughly 3.76 times Jupiter's mass. It completes an orbit every 82.5 days.
