HD 330075 and Its Single Known Planet

HD 330075 is a K1 star 148 light-years away. It is 1 billion years old, holds 0.9 solar masses, spans 0.81 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5140 K, making it cooler than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, HD 330075 b, was discovered in 2004 by the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star. It has a minimum mass of 153 Earth masses and an orbital period of 3.39 days, so it completes one orbit in just a few days. Its minimum mass, a lower bound on its true mass, is larger than Earth's.
