HD 152843 is a G0 star located 352 light-years from Earth. It is a Sun-like star in temperature class, with a temperature of 6310 K, a mass of 1.15 solar masses, and a radius of 1.43 solar radii. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and it is hotter than the Sun. The star is 3.97 billion years old. Two planets are known to orbit this host.
Both planets were discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. HD 152843 b is a Neptune-like planet with an orbital period of 11.6 days, a radius of 3.05 Earth radii, and a mass of 9.82 Earth masses. Within its size class, its radius reaches the Neptune-like range, up to four times Earth's radius. Its radius and mass are both larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 1.91 g/cm³, 0.346 times Earth's.
HD 152843 c is a Jupiter-like planet with an orbital period of 19.5 days, a radius of 5.94 Earth radii, and a mass of 9.67 Earth masses. As a Jupiter-like planet, it exceeds four times Earth's radius. Its radius and mass are also larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 0.254 g/cm³, 0.0461 times Earth's.
Among the listed planets, HD 152843 b has the shortest year, the smallest radius, and the largest reported mass. HD 152843 c has the longest year, the largest radius, and the smallest reported mass.
