HAT-P-58 is a star located 1680 light-years away. It has 1.03 solar masses, 1.53 solar radii, and a temperature of 6080 K, and it is 7.11 billion years old. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.
That planet, HAT-P-58 b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It has a mass of 118 Earth masses and a radius of 14.9 Earth radii. Both its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 4.01 days.
HAT-P-58 b's mean density is 0.196 g/cm³, 0.0355 times Earth's.
