GJ 900 A and Its Massive Imaging-Discovered Planet

GJ 900 A is a cool red dwarf of spectral type M0 lying 67.9 light-years away. Its reported mass estimate is 0.58 solar masses and its reported radius estimate is 0.73 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. The star's reported temperature of 3980 K is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, GJ 900 b, was found by imaging in 2024. Its reported mass estimate is 3500 Earth masses, larger than Earth's and roughly 11 times Jupiter's mass. No orbital period is reported for GJ 900 b.
