GJ 4276 is an M4.0 star located 69.6 light-years from us. Its spectral type marks it as a small, cool red dwarf. The star has an age of 6.9 billion years, a mass of 0.406 solar masses, and a radius of 0.407 solar radii. Its temperature is 3390 K. These stellar measurements describe the host star itself, not any wider system.
One planet orbits this star. GJ 4276 b was found in 2019 using the radial velocity method, which detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. Briefer wobbles recur and reveal the planet and its orbital period. The planet has a minimum mass of 16.6 Earth masses and an orbital period of 13.4 days. That minimum mass is larger than Earth's, and the period is the time the planet takes to complete one orbit.
