CoRoT-28 is a star 2500 light-years from Earth with a spectral type of G8/9 IV. It has an age of 12 billion years, a mass of 1.01 solar masses, a radius of 1.78 solar radii, and a temperature of 5150 K. Its radius is larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.
That planet is CoRoT-28 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2015. Its radius of 10.7 Earth radii is larger than Earth's, which places it well beyond the Jupiter-like threshold of four times Earth's radius. Its orbital period is 5.21 days. CoRoT-28 b has a mass of 154 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and a mean density of 0.691 g/cm³, 0.125 times Earth's.
