WASP-90 is a single star 1520 light-years away with a spectral type of F6. It is 4.4 billion years old and has a mass of 1.55 solar masses, a radius of 1.98 solar radii, and a temperature of 6430 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. The star hosts one known planet, WASP-90 b.
WASP-90 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered in 2016 by the transit method, which occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. The planet's mass is 200 Earth masses and its radius is 18.3 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's corresponding values for radius and mass. Its mean density is 0.181 g/cm³, 0.0328 times Earth's. WASP-90 b completes an orbit every 3.92 days.
