WASP-183 is a G9 star located 1060 light-years away. Its mass is 0.784 solar masses and its radius is 0.871 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's corresponding values. The star's temperature is 5310 K, cooler than the Sun's. It is 14.9 billion years old. One planet has been found orbiting this star.
That planet, WASP-183 b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2019 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 4.11 days. Its radius is 16.5 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 160 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.197 g/cm³, 0.0357 times Earth's.
