TOI-5803 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

TOI-5803 is a star 274 light-years away with a mass of 0.87 solar masses, a radius of 0.763 solar radii, and a temperature of 5130 K. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet, TOI-5803 b, is Neptune-like and was discovered by transit in 2023. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-5803 b's reported radius estimate is 3.27 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its radius places it within the Neptune-like size class, which reaches 4 times Earth's radius. It completes an orbit every 5.38 days.
