TOI-5795: A Sun-Like Star and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-5795 is a G-type dwarf star 511 light-years away, a Sun-like class of star that is cooler than the Sun at 5720 K. Its radius is 1.08 solar radii, making it larger than the Sun, while its mass of 0.901 solar masses is smaller. The star is also ancient, with an age of 10.2 billion years. One planet orbits this host.

That planet, TOI-5795 b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2025 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 5.62 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 23.7 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. TOI-5795 b completes an orbit every 6.14 days.

The planet's mean density is 0.734 g/cm³, 0.133 times Earth's.
