TOI-5777 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

TOI-5777 is a star 373 light-years away with 0.658 solar masses, 0.672 solar radii, and a temperature of 4210 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits TOI-5777.

That planet, TOI-5777 b, is Neptune-like and was discovered by transit in 2026. Transits occur when a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the observed brightness. TOI-5777 b completes an orbit every 6.92 days. Its radius of 3.1 Earth radii is larger than Earth's and places it within the Neptune-like size class, which extends to four times Earth's radius.
