TOI-5108 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-5108 is a star 427 light-years from Earth. Its mass is 1.1 solar masses and its radius is 1.29 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's corresponding values. The star's temperature is 5810 K and its age is 5.8 billion years. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is TOI-5108 b, a Jupiter-like world detected by transit in 2025. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-5108 b completes an orbit in 6.75 days. Its radius is 6.6 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 32 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.613 g/cm³, 0.111 times Earth's.
