TOI-4030 is a star located 1,860 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.98 solar masses, a radius of 0.992 solar radii, and a temperature of 5570 K, making it slightly smaller, less massive, and cooler than the Sun. One planet has been reported orbiting this host.
That planet, TOI-4030 b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered by the transit method in 2026. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. TOI-4030 b completes an orbit every 2.51 days. Its radius is 5.85 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Since a Jupiter-like planet exceeds four times Earth's radius, this size classification reflects the planet's radius rather than its composition.
