TOI-4029: A Jupiter-Like World in a One-Planet System

TOI-4029 is a star 895 light-years away with a single known planet orbiting it. The host star has a mass of 1.02 solar masses, a radius of 1.18 solar radii, and a temperature of 5710 K. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's.

The planet, TOI-4029 b, is classified as Jupiter-like and was discovered by the transit method in 2026, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It has an orbital period of 5.88 days and a radius of 6.74 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. A Jupiter-like planet exceeds 4 times Earth's radius.
