TOI-3568 b: A Jupiter-Like World in a Close Orbit

TOI-3568 is a star 645 light-years away with one known planet. Stellar measurements place its age at 6.1 billion years, its mass at 0.78 solar masses, its radius at 0.719 solar radii, and its temperature at 4970 K. Each of these values is smaller or cooler than the Sun's corresponding figure.

The planet TOI-3568 b was discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet crosses in front of its star and produces a small, repeating dip in brightness. That technique revealed an orbital period of 4.42 days.

TOI-3568 b is classified as Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 5.3 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its mass is 26.4 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. The planet's mean density is 0.977 g/cm³, 0.177 times Earth's.
