TOI-332 b: A Neptune-like World

TOI-332 is a K0 V star 727 light-years away. Its spectral type identifies a main-sequence dwarf, and it is cooler than the Sun, with a temperature of 5250 K. It is also smaller than the Sun in both mass and radius: 0.88 solar masses and 0.87 solar radii. The star is 5 billion years old, and it hosts one known planet, TOI-332 b.

TOI-332 b is a Neptune-like planet, meaning its radius falls within the range of Neptune-class worlds, up to four times Earth's radius. It was discovered by the transit method, in which a planet crossing the face of its star causes a slight dip in brightness; repeated dips reveal the planet's orbital period. TOI-332 b has an orbital period of 0.777 days.

Its radius measures 3.2 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 57.2 Earth masses, also greater than Earth's. Its mean density is 9.62 g/cm³, 1.75 times Earth's.
