TOI-329 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-329 is a star 928 light-years away with one known planet, TOI-329 b. The host star's reported mass estimate is 1.07 solar masses, larger than the Sun's, and its reported radius estimate is 1.53 solar radii, also larger than the Sun's. Its reported temperature of 5610 K is cooler than the Sun's, and its age is 8.7 billion years.

TOI-329 b was discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is a Jupiter-like planet, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius of 4.94 Earth radii is larger than Earth's, and its mass estimate of 40.4 Earth masses is larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 5.7 days.

TOI-329 b's mean density is 1.85 g/cm³, 0.335 times Earth's.
