TOI-2346: A Distant Star With a Single Known Planet

TOI-2346 is a star 1430 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 1.9 billion years old, has a mass of 1.27 solar masses and a radius of 1.38 solar radii, and a temperature of 6480 K. Its reported mass, radius, and temperature are all larger or hotter than the Sun's.

The only listed planet is TOI-2346 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2025. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-2346 b has a mass of 394 Earth masses, a radius of 16.1 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 3.33 days. Its reported radius and mass are larger than Earth's, and its mass is roughly 1.24 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 0.519 g/cm³, 0.0941 times Earth's.
