TOI-2200: A Distant Star With a Single Known Planet

TOI-2200 is a star located 819 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.85 solar masses, a radius of 0.826 solar radii, and a temperature of 5070 K, making it smaller, less massive, and cooler than the Sun. One planet has been found in orbit around it.

That planet, TOI-2200 b, was discovered by the transit method in 2026: it passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the starlight slightly. Its orbital period is 2.94 days. With a radius of 6.96 Earth radii, it is larger than Earth and qualifies as Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 Earth radii.

TOI-2200 b's radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
