TOI-2096 is a small, cool red dwarf of spectral type M4, located 158 light-years away. Its reported mass is 0.231 solar masses and its reported radius is 0.235 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature of 3300 K is cooler than the Sun's. Its age carries a reported lower limit of 4 billion years. Two planets are known to orbit this host.
Both planets were discovered by transit in 2023, the method in which a planet crosses in front of its star and produces a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-2096 b is an Earth-like planet with a reported radius of 1.24 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 3.12 days. TOI-2096 c is a Super-Earth with a reported radius of 1.91 Earth radii, also larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 6.39 days. Among the listed planets, TOI-2096 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius by reported estimates, while TOI-2096 c has the longest year and the largest radius.
