TOI-1859 is a star 732 light-years away with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star has a mass of 1.29 solar masses, a radius of 1.36 solar radii, and a temperature of 6340 K. Its age is 1.41 billion years. Both the star's mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is hotter than the Sun's.
The single planet, TOI-1859 b, was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. TOI-1859 b completes one orbit every 63.5 days. Its radius is 9.75 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and places it in the Jupiter-like size class, which exceeds 4 times Earth's radius.
