TOI-1811 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-1811 is a star 418 light-years away with one known planet. The star is estimated to be 5.9 billion years old, with a mass of 0.817 solar masses and a radius of 0.769 solar radii. Its temperature is 4770 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet TOI-1811 b was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Jupiter-like, meaning its radius exceeds 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 11.1 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 309 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 1.23 g/cm³, 0.223 times Earth's. TOI-1811 b completes an orbit every 3.71 days.
