TOI-1751 and Its Neptune-like Planet

TOI-1751 is a star 370 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The star is estimated to be 9 billion years old and has a mass of 0.938 solar masses, a radius of 1.31 solar radii, and a temperature of 5970 K. Its mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, while its radius and temperature are larger and hotter than the Sun's.

The planet, TOI-1751 b, was discovered by transit in 2024. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-1751 b is Neptune-like, a size class that extends to 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 2.95 Earth radii, larger than Earth's radius, and its mass is 19.5 Earth masses, larger than Earth's mass. Its mean density is 4.18 g/cm³, 0.759 times Earth's. The planet completes an orbit every 37.5 days.
