TOI-1691 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

TOI-1691 is a star 363 light-years away with one known planet. The star is 6.6 billion years old and has a mass of 0.958 solar masses, a radius of 1.01 solar radii, and a temperature of 5640 K. Its mass is smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet TOI-1691 b is Neptune-like, discovered by transit in 2024. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-1691 b orbits every 16.7 days and has a radius of 3.66 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
