TOI-1243 is an M2.0 V star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 141 light-years away. Its mass is 0.515 solar masses and its radius is 0.511 solar radii. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature of 3520 K is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.
That planet is TOI-1243 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2026. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet's radius is 2.33 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 7.7 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its orbital period is 4.66 days. The planet's mean density is 3.35 g/cm³, 0.609 times Earth's.
