TOI-1232: A Sun-Like Star with Two Transiting Planets

TOI-1232 is a G1 V star, a Sun-like main-sequence dwarf, located 1070 light-years away. It has an age of 4 billion years, a mass of 1.06 solar masses, a radius of 1.07 solar radii, and a temperature of 5820 K. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this star.

TOI-1232 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered by transit in 2026. It has a mass of 221 Earth masses and a radius of 10.9 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.931 g/cm³, 0.169 times Earth's. It completes one orbit every 14.3 days.

TOI-1232 c was discovered in 2026 by transit timing variations, a method that uses slight shifts in a transiting planet's schedule to reveal additional worlds. It has a mass of 58.5 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 30.4 days. Among the listed planets, TOI-1232 c has the smallest reported mass and the longest year, while TOI-1232 b has the largest reported mass and the shortest year.
